The Dastkari Haat Samiti Pune 2025, India’s leading craft collective, has brought its iconic annual craft bazaar to the city this year, setting up at the Pune Municipal Corporation’s newly developed cultural venue Kalagram on Sinhgad Road. The exhibition is open to visitors until November 9, with free entry for all.

India’s biggest handicraft exhibition features over 200 artisans from across India, showcasing a diverse range of traditional crafts, from handloom textiles and pottery to leatherwork, metal art, bamboo crafts, and regional paintings like Gond and Madhubani. The fair aims to celebrate the country’s handmade traditions while connecting urban audiences directly with skilled rural artisans.

Organized in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the exhibition is being held next to the Pu La Deshpande Garden, one of the city’s most popular cultural landmarks. The venue, Kalagram, has been developed as a creative hub under PMC’s Smart City initiative to promote art, culture, and local entrepreneurship.

Speaking about the event, Jaya Jaitly, founder of Dastkari Haat Samiti, said, “Each artisan here represents centuries of inherited skill and imagination. The idea is to create a marketplace that values human creativity over machine-made goods.”

The craft bazaar offers more than just shopping. Visitors can participate in live craft demonstrations, interactive workshops, and cultural performances that highlight India’s regional diversity. Food stalls serving traditional dishes from different states add to the fair’s festive atmosphere.

Entry is free, and the exhibition is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until November 9.
